Based in and around Bath, Somerset, we are The Gaulois Brothers and we have been described as a swinging, jazz guitar party.

With an almost reckless insistence on real, in the moment, improvisation we are no purists, but Django Reinhardt is definitely the inspiration.  The swinging rhythms and exciting sound of the Maccaferri guitars make for a great atmosphere evoking Gypsy campsites and Parisian cafés and nightspots.

Equally at home playing as an acoustic duo for smaller events or expanding to a trio or quartet for larger events and festivals, our repertoire includes swing standards, musettes, bossas, Russian, East European and Hungarian Gypsy tunes as well as original compositions and many pieces by Django himself.
